Every child deserves to be a child. Sometimes a child who is dealing with a personal crisis needs a safe place to be themselves. The Treutlen House at New Ebenezer provides a place where a child can be a child. As a community-based, ecumenical ministry for children and their families, the Treutlen House provides a continuum of preventive and therapeutic services through a residential care home and a Family Resource Center. Welcoming children from ages six to seventeen, the Treutlen House addresses issues of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. The children who are in the care of the Treutlen House are able to function within the local educational system, but the program provides tutoring and special assistance with learning issues. The in-home assistance provided by the Family Resource Center helps preserve families, even during a time of crisis, and helps return a child to their own home. By providing support and guidance in a time of crisis, the Treutlen House is a safe place where a child can be a child. You can help provide that support and guidance by sharing a tax deductible gift today.
